Dear [Friend’s Name],
I am sorry to know about your grandmother’s illness in your letter reached to me yesterday. I understand your reason of not keeping my invitation. No matter, in this letter I am giving you vivid details of my celebration of Saraswati Puja.
Unlike previous years, I spent the Saraswati Puja this year at my home. We decorated the idol of Devi Saraswati and the whole house with beautiful flowers, white paper, and ribbons. After taking a bath early in the morning, me, with my family, gave Pushpanjali to the Goddess in our hall room. At lunch, my mother and aunt prepared delicious Khichdi which was accompanied with Rasgulla and Gulab Jamun. In the afternoon me, my cousins and my friends organized a cultural program that featured music, dance and recitations. It was a wonderful evening to give tribute to Devi Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge, music and culture. In the next evening, we all immersed the idol in a nearby pond.
Overall the experience was very different and we all were enriched with spiritual and cultural ambience. How was your day? Reply me soon. No more today. Give regards to uncle and aunt. With so much love for you.
Yours affectionately
